FAQ

General energy efficiency rebates

  • You’re planning to renovate or replace old equipment, and haven’t yet started the work.
  • You’re a residential Enbridge Gas customer.
  • You own a detached, semi-detached, row townhouse or a mobile home with a permanent foundation.
  • Air Source Heat Pump: up to $2600 Install a completely new or replacement variable capacity cold climate air source heat pump system, intended to serve the entire home
  • Attic Insulation: Between $900 and $1500 for insulation for attics
  • Audit Rebate: Included in the maximum allowed $600
  • Air sealing: $180
  • Windows & Doors: $50 for each window. $300 for each door
  • Water heaters:  $500 to Replace domestic water heater with an energy star certified domestic hot water heat pump
  • Thermostats: $75 for upgrading to a smart thermostat
  • Exterior wall insulation: Up to $3600 for adding insulation value
  • Exposed floor insulation: $300 to add insulation value of at least the entire exposed floor area
  • Basement insulation: Up to $1500 for adding insulation value to the basement
  • Basement header insulation: $300 to seal and insulating the basement header
